- Christie Hoffman, Host of Flip Flops & People Ops at Pingboard

Scott's insights and guidance on management are invaluable to any organization, regardless of its size. Investing in his training for managers can lead to a substantial improvement in the employee experience, resulting in a more engaged and productive workforce. Scott's approach aligns perfectly with the goal of achieving scalable, long-term revenue growth, as a motivated and dedicated workforce is essential for success in any industry.

Scott was awesome as a guest on my podcast, "Flip Flops & People Ops." His episode, titled "The Power of Soft Skills: How Effective Management Drives Engagement," has become one of our all-time hits. It's no mystery why—it's a mix of his fantastic insights and his knack for explaining his management philosophy in a relatable way.

- Marc LeVine, Talent Acquisition & Learning Development Leader at Thermo Systems

Scott is an EXCEPTIONAL presenter. I was thrilled to have been able to secure Scott as a soft skills training presenter for Thermo Systems' TGIF Learning Series, in which 250+ team members regularly participate. The feedback from them was that Scott's presentation was ‘awesome’ and they learned a great deal. Many have already requested that Scott soon return for additional presentations. Scott knows his stuff and his manner of presentation (style) easily wins over the audience. Highly recommended.

- Richard Hong, First Vice President/Branch Manager at California Bank & Trust

“Scott Asai was highly recommended as a speaker on the importance of soft communication skills. After having him speak to our Bank’s Asian Pacific Islander Leadership Business Resource Group, I too highly recommend Scott. We had a large turnout deeply engaged in getting an understanding of the link between soft skills and leadership. No doubt the ability to work and communicate effectively with others is necessary and may require the need to go beyond a comfort level. Scott approaches the challenge with practical steps that can lead to more confidence and find you do have a voice to influence others. I’m looking forward to having Scott speak to our group again!”

- Yas Hardaway, Executive Director of Career Services at Pepperdine University

Scott is fantastic! He facilitated a CliftonStrengths session at our GSEP Career Services "Finding Your Calling" Retreat this past Fall. Scott took the time to prepare with me in advance, by gaining a clear understanding of the retreat objectives and respective audience, and as a result, his presentation was relevant, engaging, and extremely well received. He has the ability to synthesize and deliver concrete information in a manner that is easy to digest, while balancing his presentation with personal storytelling. I look forward to working with Scott again in the future!

- Sheila Hallsted-Baumert, PhD, College Admissions Consultant

Scott was an amazing “manager.” I put this title in quotations because he was much more than just someone who managed tasks, kept track of metrics, and held me to company standards.

Every other week, we reviewed goals, talked through action plans, and create new objectives. Rather than receiving a set of marching orders, I always came away with a sense of belonging on Scott’s team. Our meetings were discussions where I felt safe to share my experiences. He was a great listener!

Scott valued me as a person, not a metric. He challenged me in creative ways – encouraging me to think about my role and contribution to the overall priorities set by the company and then making sure I was balancing that with my life outside of work.

I really enjoyed working for - and with - Scott!

Scott is an excellent coach, manager, team leader/member, and an all-around great co-worker. Scott achieves a rare balance in maintaining his authority and position as a manager while also making you feel like he is part of your team and in your corner. This, in my opinion, is an approach that encourages honest feedback and growth. Scott is equally communicative, professional, and approachable. His managing and coaching style invites discussion, and it is never a one-way conversation. This invites his team to take ownership of their own growth and improvement because each member feels like they have a voice and are active participants in both.
